Amidst these hardships, a particularly vulnerable group emerges: the ever-increasing population of widows. Left to navigate a harsh reality in the wake of losing their loved ones, these women face the daunting task of filling the void left by those who were once the primary breadwinners of their families.

Their plight is compounded by a heart-wrenching ripple effect on the children, who bear the brunt of this tragedy. Bereft of fatherhood, these young souls lose not just a parent but the very backbone and refuge of their existence. In the absence of this vital support, their futures hang in a precarious balance, clouded by uncertainty and the pain of loss.

This situation calls for urgent and compassionate action to support these families, to offer a beacon of hope in their time of profound need. It is a call to stand in solidarity with the widows and children of Longding, to uplift them from the depths of despair, and guide them towards a path of resilience and renewal by the way of supporting them through micro-economic activities like weaving, knitting, embroidery, beads making and handicrafts, piggery, poultry, bee-keeping, mushroom cultivation and vegetable garden etc to sustain their livelihood and rescue them from the scourge of poverty and miserable life.
